"Before the event I was REALLY
nervous, to the point were i almost didn't show up. I thought
it would be weird, like "look at all the desperate singles",
but this couldn't have been further from the truth.
I was greeted with a smile by niamh and mark and handed a cocktail,
which I must say put the nerves at rest. after meeting the others
briefly niamh called us all up and explained the ins and outs
of what we needed to know.
this was it, no going back now!!! we got 6 minutes to "date"
everyone but within 30secs of sitting down with my first date
all the nerves/panic had left me and I actually started enjoying
myself. before I knew it the 6 minutes had gone and it was on
to the next one!
I had SERIOUS reservations and doubts about speed dating, but
as the evening went on I realised that this was a very positive
thing to do and a better way of meeting people than the usual
bar/club scene.
Over all gooseberry made me feel very welcome and hosted a very
professional event in an excellent venue. thank you well
done all concerned."
